Create a moisturizing regimen A good time to moisturize is after a shower. Pat your body with a towel until it’s just barely dry. Then apply moisturizer immediately to help trap water in the surface cells of your skin. You may also want to moisturize before you go to bed.

Pay special attention to legs, hands and feet Since these three areas tend to be drier than other parts of your body, you may want to moisturize them more frequently. Be especially careful about your hands since they are more exposed to the elements – especially soaps and chemicals – than any other part of your body.
